Wings 3D for MAC

Free, open-source subdivision modeler for Mac: build 3D models with a wide range of modeling tools, materials and built-in AutoUV mapping.

Wings 3D Overview

Wings 3D is an advanced subdivision modeler that aims to be both powerful and easy to use. It was inspired by Nendo and Mirai from Izware, and offers a wide range of modeling tools, a customizable interface, support for lights and materials, and a built-in AutoUV mapping facility. It concentrates on modeling: Wings 3D has no support for animation. Its import and export plugins cover formats such as OBJ, 3DS, PLY, glTF and Collada.

Wings 3D is open source and completely free for personal and commercial projects, under its own permissive license terms. Björn Gustavsson and Dan Gudmundsson started the project in 2001, Dan maintains it today with help from the community, and it is written in Erlang. Version 2.4.1 is a maintenance release with fixes for AutoUV, a Geometry Graph crash and more. The Mac download on the official site is for Apple silicon only and needs macOS 15 Sequoia; no Intel Mac build is offered there for this version. It also needs a working OpenGL driver.
